How to make money online

There are so many who want to make money online but are faced with the dilemma of where to actually start from.  They want to know the  first Step to starting a profitable online business and Make Money online. Here are my thoughts on starting up for beginners.
First, You must be prepared mentally and emotionally. Making money online may not be a get rich quick venture. You are venturing into  a business and you must be prepared to handle the challenges that will come your way. Part of your preparation may involve detail study and research in your specific niche, getting a mentor and proper planning.
Let say, you are prepared mentally and emotionally and ready to take off. what next?
The next step is figuring out what you want to sell. This can also be called choosing a niche. Choosing a niche or what you want to sell is more complicated than it sounds. Because, what ever you want to sell online has to pass through following litmus tests:
1. Am I passionate about it?
2. Is there a market for it?
3. What is the Level of Competition?
Lets look at these points in details.

1. Am I passionate about it?

Every niche is “profitable” and you can make money online in a way, it all depend on your ability to market effectively. Some niches are extremely competitive and  you  may find it It is also hard to compete with the gurus who are already making money and have tons of credibility on those niche if you are a newbie.
It is therefore easier as a beginner to make money online in a niche that you are already passionate about. If you think you cannot make money off your passion you may be wrong. Unless in exceptional cases. Like blogging about Halloween in Nigeria.
Just make a list of 5 things that you are interested in.
When you are making your list, use general terms, like dog training, motivation, make money online, wrestling, network marketing, bead making, fashion, gambling, hair, video games, baseball cards, golf, basketball, swimming, spirituality, Christianity, cooking, etc.

2. Is there a market for it?

Next you will want to do a market research to find out if there is a demand for what you want to market. you want to look at the demand for your keywords to make sure that there are enough people searching for the keyword.
To look at the demand, use the free Google Adwords Keyword Research Tool. Put your keywords, and keyword phrases into the search box one at a time. See,  How to do a keyword research. 

3. What is the Level of Competition?

To know the level of competition,  you can use the Google search engine. Search your keywords one at a time. Put the code “allintitle: “before each keyword when you search.
This code will pull up all of the websites with that keyword in the title section of the website. This is your “real competition” because they intentionally put that keyword in the title. Personally, I feel competition is a good thing because it indicates that a niche is profitable.
They say the Journey of a thousand miles starts with a step. You can start taking steps to own a profitable online business and make money online.
